DiffPath’s Mission

Diffpath. What does it mean? It means a difficult path and a different one. Why is it difficult? And in what way does it differ from others?

You’ll find out soon enough.

Why is it a Path?

DIFFPATH is a path. It’s a route. It’s a track between one place and another. It’s a set of actions leading towards a goal or result.

Where does it lead?

It tells you to take responsibility for all of your actions – so it leads to meaning.

It tells you to be disciplined – so it leads to freedom.

It tells you to move forward in life despite tragedies so it leads to inner peace.

Without a goal, there is no trajectory. You run blindly. That’s why an aim is so important. It’s better to have some imperfect goal and adjust it along the way because you’ll be more likely to hit it.

Having a route lets you stay on the path you should be on.

At the end of this path, you’ll find the strength needed to overcome every obstacle you encounter. And people will admire you and rely on you.

Why is it Different?

But why am I calling this different?

You see how the world looks like now. Most people search for instant gratification and don’t really care about the future. Why care about some meaning when you got everything you want now, here. Food, alcohol, drugs, sex. There’s a lot of pleasures out there.

BUT still, there is some point in your life you acknowledge it’s not enough. Especially when something terrible happens to you, like the death of a loved one or a betrayal. You need a purpose in life. Without it, you’re nothing more than a monkey.

You might be thinking. I will be OK. It’s not true. Chances are 99,99% you’ll encounter some tragic moments in your life. Suffering is inescapable. Even the richest people commit suicide. They cannot bear the suffering of the world.

The life of a typical young person looks like this.

Student

A typical student wakes up late and sleeps in. He goes to university and after coming home he’s only interested in relaxing.

He’s watching TV/Netflix. He’s spending time with his friends. He’s using social media all the time. He procrastinates with his projects till the last minute and then he still steals it from somebody else (In my country it’s common).

He thinks about getting drunk at a party on weekends. It’s the only thing he’s aiming at. He has no time to think about life.

He wants freedom but he doesn’t know what that truly is. Staying far from his parents gives him a sense of freedom.

A worker

When it comes to a typical person working full-time, their day looks like this. He wakes up in the morning hating that he needs to go to the job. Then he spends 8 hours in the job he (probably) doesn’t like. His work is his all life.

He’s tired all the time. After working hours he chooses to spend his time watching Netflix/TV or playing Video Games.

He’s complaining about his job.

He sees no purpose in life. Maybe he would change something in his life but he doesn’t see hope.

Note: If you got some good trajectory in your job and you see yourself successful in a few years then more power to you! You can spend the time after work on whatever you like. Relax is also important.

But unfortunately, most workers aren’t in this kind of situation. And to make their future life bearable they would better start caring about their career. Or otherwise, they do not have the right to complain.

The Diffpath’s Person

He wakes up each day knowing clearly his mission in life and sees his potential. He goes to his work and tries to be the best he can be. He hopes he will learn something new each day. Ideally, he’s working on his own business.

After work he’s trying to gain new skills, maybe to start a new business or to improve his qualification for a job.

He also spends his time with friends and family but he doesn’t overuse it. Chatting the whole day on Facebook or WhatsApp is a poor quality contact. That’s why he choose meetings face to face. But he doesn’t do this every day.

He strives to be better than his version from the previous day. He’s trying to correct his mistakes instead of criticizing others. He’s taking responsibility for his actions.

Why is it Difficult?

Why is it difficult? Tell me how many of your friends care about being better in life, or how many of them take 100% responsibility for their actions.

I don’t know about you, but in my environment people rather tend to blame the whole world for their problems. Moreover, they are the last to take responsibility.

They are not interested in putting themselves together, neither cleaning up their room metaphorically speaking.

Choosing an average path is easy. You simply follow the majority of the world so you don’t have to think too much about your decisions.

You don’t even have to take responsibility for your actions. You can just blame the whole world of that or say you’re unlucky.

Why You Should Choose a DiffPath

People don’t choose this Path because they think it is difficult or they didn’t hear about it.

Chances are they did but nobody’s ever expressed benefits clearly nor encouragingly.

But I can do this and I will do so.

#1 Feeling Fuc**** Awesome.

You can be lazy, unmotivated, and spend the whole day playing video games (it happened to me many times in the past). But you’ll discover it gives you no meaning. And you feel bad about yourself.

But when you start working you’ll immediately feel like you are ascending (I’m just feeling it right now 😀 ).

#2 The Only Way to Progress is to Take Responsibility for Your Own Actions.

When you waste time complaining and blaming misfortune for your miserable life, other people are working. Focusing too much on others instead of looking at what is in front of you won’t lead you anywhere.

And when you take responsibility for your actions, people will see you as someone they can rely on. And suddenly, new doors will open.

#3 Obtaining What You Want (Within What is Achievable)

When you discover it gives you meaning and you take responsibility, slowly you will grow. And one day you will achieve your goals.

I’m not saying you can achieve anything you want. Because you won’t be able to win Olympic gold medal in 100 meters run. I’m sorry. You don’t have the right genes.

But it won’t stop you from achieving great things. The fact that you can’t be the first in some areas doesn’t mean you can’t be 10th or the first but in a different area.

#4 Feeling Special, Like a Superhero

While watching a movie you’re fully engaged. You’re feeling like the main hero in the show. Why does it happen?

There’s something endearing about characters in movies. They’re intriguing. And they make people that are watching want to become like them. But why?

There’s a part of the story. A story that not only occurs in those movies but in the lives of all human beings as well.

Everyone would like to become a savior, such as Superman, Batman. But we think we can only see them in movies. And that it’s impossible for us to achieve this kind of character and journey in life. But it’s not true.

There’s a cycle that takes place in our daily lives. It’s called a hero’s journey. We constantly fight our struggles, we fail to rise from our defeat and then if we are wise and patient enough we defeat our weaknesses in the end and obtain the reward.

But the first step towards becoming a hero is to accept the calling of the world and do something. So get up, take responsibility, do something and you’ll likely to get on a great journey and become a hero yourself.

#5 Feeling Like Something You Do Matters in the World.

You might be feeling like a little worm in comparison to the most successful and influential people in the world. But it’s not the case. You have great potential. There’s a lot of things around you that you have an influence on, you can fix.  And if you put yourself together, chances are you would become great as well.

So you have something to say and you can influence other people – and the whole world for that matter. That means you’re not nobody. Remember about it.

#6 Sense of Being in the Right Place

Sometimes you feel like you’re in the zone. Nothing distracts you. It’s just you and the activity you’re engaged in. It’s called flow and people aim to be in this place for as long as they can.

When you pursue something meaningful you feel this way.

You feel it only when you do something truly engaging. Low-density fun like watching TV or scrolling through social media feeds won’t give you this kind of feeling. It’s worth thinking about.

So choose wisely what you do in your spare time.

#7 Inner peace

Do you feel stressed all the time? Can’t find a solution to your problems? Sometimes your intuition tells you that you do something wrong or leave things undone.

But somewhere on the line when you do the right things and fix what you can fix, take responsibility, realize your own flaws, you start to feel relief, the inner peace.

You can bear a lot when you feel it. Inner peace is priceless.

Some criminals admit to crimes because they cannot bear the stress related to their crimes (It is perfectly described in Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment).

#8 Protection against tragedies of life (and maybe even suffering)

The storm will come. There will be tragedies in your life as I mentioned before. You’ll encounter some ruthless experiences. It will all generate suffering. And so you need an antidote to all of that.

And this is when you need to be strong. You need to be on the strong ground so that you survive the storms of life. It will only happen when you sort out yourself.

#9 It will help you solve your problems

Struggle with something? You need advice. And to solve your problems you need to be wise.

To gain the knowledge you need to ask questions. But which questions should you ask?

When you start questioning the standard path – the one I mentioned in the beginning – a different perspective on the world will appear in your head.

And when the new perspective will show then you will seek new ways to solve new problems and you’ll be the one who could solve it. But you need to start small. You need to start by cleaning up your room – so that you stay within your domain of competence. And after some time you’ll become so competent that people will ask you to solve their problems.

#10 Avoiding unnecessary pain

Sometimes we multiply our pain. Some pain in the world is necessary because it is the default state of the world. But often we choose paths that put us closer to hell as well as the other people around us. We need to be aware of that.

#11 You’ll make your future life better.

You’re born with flaws. There’s a lot you need to do to become great.

Humans, as opposed to animals, can bargain with the future. A wolf cannot save food for the next days nor for other wolves.

That’s why it’s a good idea to sacrifice the present for a better future. If you want to have a good life you can achieve that only through constant sacrificing the present. The recipe for success is simple, they bargain with the future in the best way possible.

Having Said All of That…

Don’t think that I am a perfect man, that I follow all of these principles. I’m still human and I need to learn a lot. I make mistakes.

But each day I choose again to stay on the different and difficult path, a DiffPath. And it is hard as hell. But I make a choice every day, and so can you.

The choice is yours.

Will you choose a standard path or..

DIFFPATH?
