My Path – Part 1

Here I am, the imperfect man. I have made many mistakes along the way. I’m just like you.

I’m on the path to being the best version of myself, on a Diffpath. And I want you to come with me on that path.

Who am I? I’m 25. I’m an individual interested in personal growth and achieving what nobody thinks is possible.

I am here to break my own limits and to document that so other individuals might follow my steps to improving their lives.

Last month was tough for me. I found out that there aren’t many stable things in my life. Moreover, I didn’t see anything interesting to a pursuit in the world. Except for a few things. I was at the bottom of a sinusoid. Everybody stays there from time to time.

Everybody once in a while steps off the correct path. And that happened to me as well. I fell off the track. I felt almost no meaning in my life. I dropped down my habits. I started ordering pizza constantly instead of cooking for myself. I gave up on working out. I felt weak. Every day felt the same.

That needs to change“, I told myself. That’s why I’m coming back on the right track. And I want you to join me on this adventure. To help you conquer your dragons as well.

I made the first step. I wrote this in one of my articles. It’s the first step for greatness. It is…

Clean up your room

Yes, I cleaned up your room. It might seem insignificant but it makes a difference. It’s a start for you to become the greatest version of yourself. You need to start with yourself and you need to start low.

And that’s what I did. I cleaned up my room. I made it beautiful again. Fixed the mess.

I cleaned my dishes. I tidied up my kitchen. I wrote down what I need to buy for my meals, prepared a list of food that I will need. I made a couple of servings of my meals.

There was one thing that made a lot of difference when it comes to household chores. It’s earphones. It’s a great idea to listen to podcasts or audiobooks while cleaning up your room or doing dishes. It gives me energy every time.

Take care of your schedule

I started planning out my day in a notebook. Simply write down what’s on your mind there, what you want to accomplish this day. And then go for it. I did so. Day after day. I ironed all of my clothes. They are now ready to be used.

Then, I added exercises. It is the core of confidence. Studies have shown that it really boosts your self-esteem.  Even working out for 10 minutes per day. After not working out for a while I came back with a 5-minute workout. 5 sets of 10 push-ups. And it felt awesome. The next day I increased it to 10 minutes intense workout with a kettlebell. It might seem a little bit but it works for my consistency. And nothing feels better than a workout in the morning. It just needs discipline and the whole day is better thanks to it.

The night before sleep I prepared everything for the next day: the clothes, workout clothes. I prepared a shake for my next day.

I did this couple of days in the row.

And soon, a couple of days in After feeling down, the motivation started going up. I suddenly wanted to do more productive things, to live my life fully.

There are a lot of things that need to be done that keeps us from falling apart, and what’s more – to feel like a confident human being.

Gratitude

Suddenly I looked at myself and felt proud that I’ve done all of these things. I took a moment to sit down quietly. And I thought about all of these. I felt gratitude. I appreciated what I have. Everything around me seemed much more colorful.

While feeling stressed and overwhelmed it’s easy for us to forget what we have and who we are. However, if we take the action – even the small one – we see the world and ourselves more clearly, without that much dose of criticism. And we are ready to take on the world.

I felt that way. I felt grateful for all I have and what will happen to me in the future. I felt ready to take on the world. I was finally back on the right track.

What I’ve learned?

  • It doesn’t take a lot to get up from the bottom of a pit
  • Simple things like cleaning up your room or planning up your day are very relaxing and keep me on the right track
  • Daily discipline needs to be maintained – especially in these simple daily habits
  • Gratitude is a superpower

How you can use it in your own life?
